Colin Lawler & Joe Grabowski
Spirits: The Soul Collector is an epic tale in which a 12-year-old boy must enter a spirit world in order to find and rescue his younger brother’s stolen soul. Colin Lawler is an up-and-coming artist who balances his time between drawing and amateur sorcery. Joe Grabowski spends his days fixing himself (and others) drinks, and tries to pepper in a little bit of writing every now and then.
The Cool Box: Jason Piperberg & Crystal Ben
Jason Piperberg and Crystal Ben are two illustrators who together form The Cool Box. A showcase of both of their independent work as well as their collaborations.
Jason has been drawing since he could hold a pencil and is a co-founder of the Philadelphia comics group C.O.P.O.U.T. Artists. He always had a love for comics, super heroes, sci-fi, robots, and anything related to narrative imagery and story telling. Jason currently works as a freelance illustrator and comic artist.
Crystal Ben is an earthling with a passion for nature. She enjoys creating fantasy themed illustrations and works as both a professional freelancer and a junior designer for St. Martin’s Press. She creates book covers, posters, games, and pre-production art.
Daniel Elisii resides in a hive in Bucks County, Pennsylvania where he writes, draws, and dreams his subconscious comics into solid sequential shapes. He is a graduate of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art and has had work published in The Anterior Review, Redivider, Untitled Tales, Wild River Review and Mad Scientist magazine among others. Recent projects include comics in the Quarter Moon anthology and in Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream the Winsor McCay tribute book, both published by Locust Moon Press. He also self-publishes his own comics and illustrated stories under the imprint, Insect Ash. The latest release is Age & Order.
Dan Mazur is an independent cartoonist, journalist, teacher, screenwriter, and editor. Co-founder of the Boston Comics Roundtable, and MICE: the Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo, and founder of Ninth Art Press. He has edited comics anthologies, Inbound, Show and Tell, In a Single Bound, the Greatest of All Time Comics Anthology and is the publisher of the upcoming SubCultures. He is the co-writer of Comics: A Global History, published Thames & Hudson. He has taught comic art at the Art Institute of Boston, the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, and the Brookline Arts Center, as well as screenwriting at UCLA Extension School.
