Carey Pietsch is an illustrator & cartoonist who graduated from Swarthmore College in 2010, currently living in Philly and studying painting & drawing. You can find her on twitter and tumblr as careydraws.
The Snapdragon Queen is Carey’s newest book, a fairy tale about mysterious forces, malevolent courtiers, and a very brave ruler. Set in an idyllic nation in a distant past, it plumbs nature’s power and the force of human will. (And the joys and perils of gardening!) Written in timeless verse, it’s a story to savor again and again.
Carey will be tabling at this year’s Locust Moon Fest with the Philly Comix Jam.
