Locust Moon Press is the publishing arm of the up-and-coming Philadelphia comics shop, annual festival, and artistic collective.
Our first book, Once Upon a Time Machine, was assembled independently over several years and finally published by Dark Horse Comics in October, 2012. It is now nominated for a 2013 Harvey Award for Best Anthology.
In the past year, we have focused more on self-publishing books and developing projects alternately more personal and even bigger than Time Machine. Our ongoing anthology magazine, Quarter Moon, launched in July of this year and will debut its second issue at the Festival. We will also be debuting Rob Woods’ new book, 36 Lessons in Self-Destruction at the Festival, with a special release party to be held at our store the night before (Friday, October 4).
